Nigerian Women in Public Relations (NGWiPR) has set to hold another edition of her "PR Students on Campus Summit", this time for students of Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Ogba Lagos.
The virtual summit which is slated for April 30, 2021, between 11 am and 1 pm, open for all NIJ students will be added to the series that the organization has held after its maiden edition with the University of Lagos students on October 30, 2020.
This edition of the PR Student on Campus Summit will have Jokotola Ogunyimika, Brand Manager, Asset & Equity Group and Chinwendu Ohakpougwu, Corporate Communications Manager, DLM Capital Group speaking about the intricacies of the trade to the students.
Opportunities promised to students during the summit include:
Learning about public relations
Listening to recent graduates talk about how they discovered the profession and why they love it.
Knowing the opportunities available in public relations
Getting internship roles to earn while studying.
Meeting industry leaders and mentors.
Nigerian Women in PR is a not-for-profit organization established in 2019, created to build a robust network of practising and aspiring female public relations professionals of Nigerian descent.
It aims at supporting inspiring and empowering these professionals while improving access to career-advancing opportunities.
